The Berlin based singer and songwriter Kaya-T released her second studio album "Kaya-T" on December, 17th, 2022 over her own independent label "Trikania Music". The singles "Run Away From You" and "Dance In The Moonlight" were released in June and October 2022. 

With it´s album title the album celebrates the singer herself. It was produced by reggae original Kirk "Ajani" McDowell, who collaborates/d with artists such as Peter Fox, Samy Deluxe, Max Herre, Die Fantastischen Vier and Patrice, among others. "A good basis for the wonderful vocals of Kaya-T, who, coming from jazz, offers many facets with her voice."  (irieites.com). The album contains eleven partly 5-minute long compositions with English lyrics, recorded with an impressively select group of first-class international musicians. Stylistically, the German-Cuban artist moves fluidly between the genres of Reggae, Soul, R&B and Hip Hop. She herself calls this musical mix Reggaesoul. 

Kaya-T is no longer an insider tip. The Dipl. jazz-musician and pedagogue has been performing on stages since the age of five, she attended music schools, sang in choirs and gained her first experiences in various bands as a teenager. After graduating from high school, she initially studied history of fine arts, quickly changed over to audio engineering and finally finished studying jazz music. Since then she has worked in various projects as a gala singer, live and studio singer, as a vocal coach (Mark Medlock, DSDS) and as a vocal teacher. As a background singer she sang live for artists like Cornel Campbell, Torch, Oren Lavie, Mantis, Ajani and Martin Jondo, and in the studio for Ben, Bushido, Anthony Locks, Shocking Murray and many more. 

Under the name Kaya-T, the musician has collaborated with Aldubb & Bigfinga ("Mother Earth"), Next Generation Family ("Blue Sky"/Raspect Riddim) and Ajani ("My Sunshine", "Ready To Turn"). Kaya-T has been tour support for Martin Jondo and opener for Queen Ifrikah and Turbulance, among others.

Die Berliner Sängerin Kaya-T veröffentlichte am 17.12.22 ihr zweites Studioalbum "Kaya-T" auf dem eigenen Label "Trikania Music“. Die Single-Auskopplungen „Run Away From You“ und "Dance In The Moonlight" erschienen im Juni und Oktober 2022. 

Das Album feiert mit seinem Album-Titel die Sängerin selbst und wurde von Reggae Original Kirk „Ajani“ McDowell produziert, der u.a. mit Künstlern wie Peter Fox, Samy Deluxe, Max Herre, Die Fantastischen Vier, und Patrice zusammenarbeitet/e. „Eine gute Basis für den wunderbaren Gesang von Kaya-T, die, aus dem Jazz kommend, mit ihrer Stimme mächtig viele Facetten bietet.“  (irieites.de). Zu hören sind elf teils 5-minütige Eigenkompositionen mit englischen Texten, eingespielt von einer beeindruckend auserlesenen Reihe erstklassiger internationaler Musiker*innen. Stilistisch beweget sich die deutsch-kubanische Künstlerin fließend zwischen den Genres Reggae, Soul, R&B und Hip Hop. Sie selbst nennt diesen musikalischen Stilmix Reggaesoul. 

Kaya-T ist längst kein Geheimtipp mehr. Die Dipl. Jazz-Musikerin und -Musikpädagogin steht seit ihrem fünften Lebensjahr auf der Bühne, besuchte Musikschulen, sang in Chören und sammelte als Jugendliche erste Erfahrungen in diversen Bands. Nach dem Abitur studierte sie zunächst Kunstgeschichte, belegte dann einen Sound Engineering Kurs, entschied sich aber schließlich für das Jazz-Musik-Studium. Sie arbeitete seitdem in diversen Projekten als Galasängerin, Live- und Studio-Sängerin, als Vocal Coach (Mark Medlock, DSDS) und als Gesangslehrerin. Als Backgroundsängerin sang sie live u.a. für Cornel Campbell, Torch, Oren Lavie, Mantis, Ajani und Martin Jondo, im Studio für Ben, Bushido, Anthony Locks, Shocking Murray u.v.a.. 

Unter dem Namen Kaya-T kollaborierte die Musikerin bisher mit Aldubb & Bigfinga („Mother Earth“), Next Generation Family („Blue Sky“/Raspect Riddim) und Ajani ("My Sunshine“, "Ready To Turn“). Kaya-T war u.a. Tour-Support von Martin Jondo und Opener für Queen Ifrikah und Turbulance.

El álbum celebra a la propia cantante con su título y ha sido producido por el original del reggae Kirk "Ajani" McDowell, que ha colaborado con artistas como Peter Fox, Samy Deluxe, Max Herre, Die Fantastischen Vier y Patrice. "Una buena base para las maravillosas voces de Kaya-T, que, viniendo del jazz, ofrece poderosas facetas con su voz".  (irieites.es). Once composiciones originales, algunas de 5 minutos de duración, con letras en inglés, grabadas con un grupo impresionantemente selecto de músicos internacionales de primera categoría. Estilísticamente, la artista cubana-alemana se mueve con fluidez entre los géneros del reggae, el soul, el R&B y el hip hop. Ella misma llama a este estilo musical mix reggae soul. 

Kaya-T ya no es una información privilegiada. La profesora de música se ha subido a los escenarios desde los cinco años, asistió a escuelas de música, cantó en coros y tuvo sus primeras experiencias en varias bandas cuando era adolescente. Tras graduarse en el instituto, primero hizo un curso de ingeniería de audio, pero luego decidió estudiar música de jazz. Desde entonces ha trabajado en diversos proyectos como cantante de gala, cantante en directo y en estudio, como coach vocal (Mark Medlock, DSDS) y como profesora de canto. Como cantante de fondo, cantó en directo para Cornel Campbell, Torch, Oren Lavie, Mantis, Ajani y Martin Jondo, y en estudio para Ben, Bushido, Anthony Locks, Shocking Murray y muchos otros. 

Bajo el nombre de Kaya-T, el músico ha colaborado con Aldubb & Bigfinga ("Mother Earth"), Next Generation Family ("Blue Sky"/Raspect Riddim) y Ajani ("My Sunshine", "Ready To Turn"). Ha sido telonera de Martin Jondo y de Queen Ifrikah y Turbulance, entre otros.

"Al escucharlo, entiendes rápidamente de qué se trata: Kaya-T confía en la música y en lo que hace. Con ritmos variados y voces expresivas, elabora un conjunto de canciones bailables, discretas pero intensas, auténticas y contagiosamente enérgicas. Amor y respeto: el mensaje es sencillo pero universal, en lo pequeño reside lo grande, en lo sencillo lo esencial. Si Kaya-T fuera una invitada a una fiesta, probablemente se escabulliría por la puerta trasera hasta la pista de baile, para acabar bailando encima de la mesa, dando palmas de ánimo y convirtiéndose en el alma de la fiesta.
